FIRST POST!
So here’s my first post on my new photo-blog. I made this blog so I could post my pictures, get my name out there, and hopefully get some advise on how to make my photos better. I also hope to improve my writing skillz (just kidding) from writing here.
I would definitely classify myself as an Amateur Photographer. I understand the technical aspects of the camera: how the camera works, and how all the settings work, and how they will affect the shot. I think my major struggles are composition and post-production. I own Adobe CS3 Master Collection, from my school, and yet it remains untouched. I want to learn how to use Photoshop to my advantage. I really need to improve on setting up my shots. However, I think that as I take more shots and read more articles on the photography, that it will improve itself.
This is the equipment I currently own:
- Nikon D40
- Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Kit Lens
- Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR Lens
I also have a Canon PowerShot SD750 P&S camera, but I mainly use my SLR.
I’m really looking forward to posting my pictures and my experiences along the way. I’m going to post a few of my previous shots, just to get this blog started. However, everything from here on out will be new.
Welcome to the photo-blogosphere. I just launched mine two days ago. I agree with you that mastering post-processing is the toughest thing, and it’s frustrating because you feel like mastering the camera is all you should have to do. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
